Gateway Legal Services (GLS) practices in the field of consumer protection, including laws such as the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, Home Owners Equity Protection Act, Truth in Lending, and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, as well as state law such as the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act.
This site contains information about our firm, some common problems consumers experience, and how to contact Gateway Legal Services. Gateway does not currently accept every kind of consumer protection case. Our current areas of practice include debt collections, credit reporting issues, and financing issues in mortgages and car purchases. There are many other areas of consumer protection, and in hope that we can provide you some small assistance with those, we have included some miscellaneous consumer protection problems you may encounter, as well as some links to sources where you may obtain help for those problems. Gateway currently accepts consumer protection cases for filing in Missouri and Illinois. For other areas of the United States, we have included some links that may be helpful to you. We do not endorse any of those resources, and in fact the links may not stay functional. We do not charge to evaluate cases, and if we accept a case, we generally do not collect any fees unless and until we win. We do not represent collectors or lenders. Contact us for a free consultation!
